KIDS BOXING AGES 8–17

Discipline, confidence and real coaching — Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 5 PM in Pinellas Park.

Kids boxing at Battle Zone is not a daycare with gloves, and it's not a fight club for children — it's structured athletic coaching in the best youth sport there is. Classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6 PM at 6481 102nd Ave N, Pinellas Park, FL 33782, for ages 8 through 17, split by age and level, with parents welcome to watch every minute.

What kids actually do: warm-ups and conditioning, footwork and balance drills, learning to throw and retract punches correctly on bags and mitts, and games that build coordination. What kids actually get: discipline with a point, visible personal progress that doesn't depend on making a team, real fitness, and the kind of quiet confidence that makes them less likely to get into fights — a pattern coaches here in Pinellas County see over and over. Contact and sparring are never a default: fundamentals come first, contact is earned, optional, protected and supervised, and many kids happily train for years without it.

The coaching matters most, and it's the deepest part of the gym: a head coach with 15-plus years in boxing and a former amateur champion leads the program, and parents' reviews consistently call out how the coaches treat the kids — patient with beginners, serious about respect, invested in every child in the room.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

What ages can join the kids boxing program?

Ages 8 through 17. Training is split by age and level, and classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6 PM at the gym in Pinellas Park.

Will my child be hit?

Not by default, no. Youth training is overwhelmingly no-contact: bags, mitts, footwork and conditioning. Any controlled contact comes much later, is strictly optional, requires proper protective equipment, coach approval and supervision — and kids can train indefinitely without ever sparring.

How do we start?

Bring your kid to a class — the first one is free. They’ll train, you’ll watch, and you can both decide. Water bottle and athletic clothes are all they need; the gym can loan starter equipment.

Is there a family option if I want to train too?

Yes — adult classes run at 7 PM right after kids class, and family membership pricing is available. Ask at the front desk and they’ll build a plan for your crew.
